About Us

The Irish Match Racing Association was set up in January 2024 as the discipline of match racing began to grow in Ireland, particularly in Dun Laoghaire. We aim to promote Match Racing in Ireland at every level of the sport by encouraging clubs to Match Race. We aim to encourage participation in the discipline, to raise standards of competition and to become actively involved in organising match racing events.

We aim to run events within all levels of the World Sailing Match Racing Grading Structure, including, but not limited, to youth events, women's events as well as regional, national and international events.

We engage with clubs, as well as Irish Sailing, sponsors and, World Sailing to achieve this goal.
